August in the Windy City

Here we are in January and I’ve only just gotten around to posting some trip photos from the Summer. Back in August, I went up to Chicago with some of my closest friends and walked up and down the town with them. From downtown to a karaoke bar in China Town, we had such a fun time together! I have always loved walking around Chicago, it’s one of the first places I brought my camera when I was a teenager to just take photographs of all that I saw.

This is the start of the personal side of my blog; I wanted a place to post images with less worry about it clogging up my main feed of wedding and engagement photography. Hopeful that separating it like this helps me get out there more just to shoot for fun, because I really do love it. Walking around with a camera in my hand is what got me started in all of this and I’ve really started chasing those roots again a decade later and loving every second of it.

Quality may be lower or very much non-fantastical at times, but I’m here on this other side of it all to just post what feels right. Whether it’s shots of friends, my dog, or reflection selfies with my camera, I’m just trying to document my life and branch out creatively when I can. Photographs are so important to me and I’m trying to keep that at the forefront of my life. If you stick around all the time or just pop in every once in awhile to see what I’m up to, thank you. Thanks for letting me share a little part of myself.

Hope you enjoy!
