Shots of the Week

This past few weeks I’ve started to take a lot more personal photos again. It’s been quite some time since I just grabbed a camera on the way out the door and taken photos of anything that caught my eye. This is how I used to approach photography when I first found my love for it and it has honestly been a really introspective few weeks for me. I’ve started to shoot more and more just for fun. It’s a breath of fresh air to have no expectations or standards since a lot of the shots here are just of things that struck me on my walks around town.

To keep this inspiration going and give myself a place to post, a photo journal of sorts, I settled on the idea of “shots of the week”. Depending on how much I’m shooting or how busy I am with other work, this may be shots of the month, shots of the last two weeks, shots of the hour, etc. I just have had such a great time immersing myself in photography in all aspects recently and it has made my love for my job grow even more which is why you’ll likely see some of my portrait work in here too. I have no standard of what I’ll post here, this is just a way I’d love to simply share photos I have a fondness for and get the opportunity to share to whoever is around to see. Shots that I think look great, some that just make me happy for any number or reasons and whatever else stands out to me. We’ll see how this evolves over time if I keep at it, so stick around and keep tuning back in if it at all interests you. This will of course be interspersed with my regularly scheduled programming but I wanted to lay out what this was all about. This one specifically is more like shots from the last two weeks, don’t tell anyone I lied in the first post! If you’re here, thank you, I hope you like what you see!
