Nick and Alex
As this mid July heat gets to me more and more, my mind has been wandering back to thoughts of the days when we weren’t receiving heat index warnings every other day. I love a day by the pool with a cold drink within reach but sometimes the heat is my own worst enemy. What better way to start off the first blog post for the new site than to bring us back to a chilly winter day this past January?
Nick and Alex are long-time friends of mine and I’m shooting their wedding in November, which I absolutely cannot wait for, so I’m sure I’ll have tons and tons to write about then with even more photos to go alongside. So for now, I’d love to start off pretty simply and share their adorable winter engagement session!
During our meeting, I could tell pretty quickly that a snowy engagement session would be exactly what they were looking for. With Missouri weather being about as predictable as picking a name out of a hat, I was of course excited as well but worried we may have to wait weeks or months for snow to maybe not even happen. Little did I know, just a few weeks later we would get our first snow and it made for the perfect day. The weather cooperated perfectly and left us with enough snow to walk around in but not so much we were reaching for the snow shoes and pants. It really was like the universe gifted us the perfect little snowfall!
The only challenge was the 20 degree weather but let me tell you, these two were absolute troopers and knocked it out of the park for two hours in the cold all while looking adorable and so in love! I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking but I hope anyone reading is having a great and not too hot summer!
I have been wanting to get around to blogging sessions for so long so don’t be surprised if the next few are all over the place. I’ve got tons to catch you all up on and I’m so excited to start sharing again! See you again soon!
