Jon and Kayla

Serving as a stark contrast to my last blog post, this session with Jon and Kayla took place on one of the hottest days of the year! Back in June we had everything all set for our session…and then came the humidity. The heat index was a hundred and ten degrees but that was no problem for these two! We simply pushed the session a little closer to sunset and Jon and Kayla came very prepared to beat the heat. They had an umbrella for shade and a ton of water for hydration and to cool down; I need to take some notes from their book!

Forest Park is really one of my favorite places to shoot and I’m so glad we were able to have such a great time strolling around at sunset cracking jokes and having a great time while capturing some awesome shots of these two. Very quickly I realized that my usual lame attempts at jokes were not at all required seeing as these two making each other smile came with absolutely zero effort.

By the end of it all these two had hardly broken a sweat and they were even the ones running around and giving piggy back rides, I couldn’t believe it! I cannot wait to shoot their wedding this fall in just a few short months, I know it’s going to be such an amazing day that’s fun from top to bottom. Here’s to hoping the weather for their big day is as cool as they are!
